Russian Literary Transformations from 1990 to 2020

On May 17 and 18, 2024, the third and last project conference entitled “Russian Literary Transformations Today” was held at the Excelsior Hotel in Lovran. At the conference, all project team members presented their project research, including the project team leader, Jasmina Vojvodić, Ph.D., domestic (Živa Benčić, Ph.D., Josip Užarević, Ph.D., Danijela Lugarić Vukas, Ph.D., Ivana Peruško, Ph.D., Petra Grebenac) and foreign team members (Natalija Zlydnjeva, Ph.D. Olga Burenina, PhD, Brigitte Obermayr, PhD). In addition to the project team members, 16 other scientists from Croatia, Europe and the world participated in the conference.

At the end of the conference, project team members held a workshop, where they discussed the final phase of their work on a joint monograph on contemporary Russian literature. The monograph will be published in 2025 as a result of the research project “Russian Literary Transformations from 1990 to 2020 “.

The international scientific conference “Russian Literary Transformations Today” will be held from May 17 to 19, 2024 in Lovran. In conference will participate both domestic and foreign team members of the project Russian Literary Transformations from 1990 to 2020, as well as numerous other scholars of contemporary Russian literature.

In the 103rd issue of the international scientific journal Matica Srpska Journal of Slavic Studies, scientific papers from the international conference Drunkenness/Intoxication in Russian Culture from 1990 to 2020, held in May 2022 in Zagreb as part of the Russian Literary Transformations project from 1990 to 2020, were published.

On Friday, June 2, a planned team meeting was held for all members of the project team. The meeting was held in a hybrid format, in the B-224 cabinet and via the application Microsoft Teams. The team members discussed the problems they face when working on individual chapters of the future publication: availability of literature, narrowing down of materials, choice of sources, time limit, deadlines for submission, etc. The issue of periodization of literary “transformations” from 1990 to 2020 was particularly highlighted.

On Friday, November 25, 2022, a project workshop was held. The workshop was held in a hybrid format, in room A223 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and via Zoom application. During the meeting Živa Benčić, PhD, Ivana Peruško, PhD, Brigitte Obermayr, PhD and Josip Užarević, PhD presented the results of their research so far.

On Friday, November 4, 2022., a project workshop was held. The workshop was held in a hybrid format, in room A223 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and via Zoom application. During the meeting Olga Burenina, PhD, Natalia Zlydneva, PhD, Danijela Lugarić Vukas, PhD and Jasmina Vojvodić, PhD, presented the results of their research so far.

The project workshop, in which participated domestic and foreign team members, was held via the Zoom application on June 17, 2022. At the workshop, the participants identified the topics they proposed at the last meeting, but also suggested some new topics. After they determined a number of topics, they agreed about the rhythm of further work. Team members have scheduled two workshops in November, at which each of them will give a short presentation on his or her field of interest within the project.

A meeting of domestic and foreign team members was held via Zoom on December 13th 2021. At the meeting, the participants presented and specified their area of activity within the project. The results of the research will be published in a joint foreign publication in Russian as a result of the project.

Psychopoetics in Russian culture in the 21st century, an international roundtable was held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb and via Zoom from 14th to 15th May 2021.
